Prep Fathers Club ~

The annual Prep Golf Tournament saw a record number of players with some unexpected surprises.

Boasting its biggest single-year increases (for both tournament players and later dinner guests) over prior year, the “friend-raiser” took place at the La Canada Golf & Tennis Club. Organized by Fathers Club Vice President (Golf Tournament) Bill Browning, the day was underscored by a first-ever occurrence for the event – a hole-in-one (by class of ’72 participant Glenn Leisure)!

Glenn Leisure (class of ’72) hit a hole-in-one and won an Audi A6 from sponsor Rusnak Audi !

A growing trend at the event was the continued increase in spouses and other guests who couldn’t  make the golf, but came for the evening activities. Special guest speakers included notable graduating student athletes and others.

Heard from multiple players was the comment “the event continues to draw a great group of participants with amazing silent auction items.” This year’s list of items included tickets and luxury suite packages for Los Angeles Lakers & Clipper basketball games, LA Kings hockey , Los Angeles Dodger baseball games, rounds of golf, gifts and tickets for other cultural events.
