About Prep Fathers Club
The Flintridge Prep Fathers Club has a longstanding tradition of welcoming new families to the school.
The Early Years:
In 1946-46, the first “Father & Son” function was held at a banquet in the (former) Pasadena Athletic Club. The main speaker was Mike Pecarovich. The event was a success, but an even longer lasting benefit was the foundation had been established for subsequent parent activities at the school.
In the fall of the 1953-54 school year, the Flintridge Associates was formally organized. The organization was founded at the suggestion of Mrs. Mary Matthew, mother of a ’58 graduate and headed by Mr. Bruce Stone. The purpose of the group was to welcome new Flintridge fathers into the school family and to assist the school financially. The name was formally changed to the Fathers Club in 1982.
Present Day:
First and foremost, we are a group of dads who want to enhance the experience of everyone at Flintridge Prep – students, alumni, faculty, and parents. We’re a service organization designed to be a support arm of Flintridge Prep. Our mission is to enhance campus life for students and faculty. Our main duties are to sponsor events at the request of the faculty and students, as approved by the Headmaster.
