Headmaster Peter Bachmann and Fathers Club President John Johnson welcomed the group with their remarks.

The next meeting for the new dads with the Fathers Club will be the Back-to-School Mixer on September 4th and for all new parents at the New Parents Reception on September 6th.

In addition to the fun on the course, evening activities will include comedian and NBC4′s own Fritz Coleman as the Special Guest Speaker along with comedy writer Tom Gammill as this year’s Master of Ceremonies. Back also this year will be the popular Silent Auction.

If you’re a parent of a graduating student, tee signs can also be purchased for placement along the course to congratulate them, or as a novel way to thank a particular teacher, club, or team at the school.

• Dinner with award-winning sports writer Bill Plaschke. If you’re a sports fan, one of the first things you read each morning is Plaschke’s LA Times article. When you win this item, Bill will come to your dinner or business meeting and entertain all the other questions you’ve always wanted to ask… Plaschke, in his 23rd year with the Times, has been named National Sports Columnist of the Year by a variety of organizations, including Associated Press, Sigma Delta Chi, and National Headliners.
